Facebook Groups for Business!
I have joined and signed up for a lot of networking sites but I never thought that sites like Facebook can be more than just for “social networking.” It is one of the best tools available on the internet to grow and expand your business brand. Think about this, half a billion worldwide users isn’t a bad market to infiltrate after all. Unfortunately, most of us don’t know how to utilize it. People don’t realize that Facebook's “Like” page was specifically created to promote and expand your business.
Another feature in Facebook, “Facebook Groups,”was essentially built to create an atmosphere of interaction and engagement. The “Like” page and the “Groups” have their advantages and disadvantages, and the updated version of Facebook Groups is more sophisticated. Keep in mind, though, that your main Facebook page is still for engagement and interaction. In addition, I found a coaching program that completely blows me away. One of the main problems with the old version of “Facebook Groups” was the technical aspect of maintaining a large “loose” group. This can become quite daunting, considering that I barely have time to juggle my own business and everything else in between; the internet has for a long time been the widest portal for just about anything. But with the new version the size is limited to 250 members per group. Group chats now add an element of fun interaction with “new” Facebook friends.
The Only training program in Facebook Groups.
Once I found the Social Media List Machine , things got a lot more interesting. The “List Machine” is coaching program for entrepreneurs like myself who love to learn and expand new techniques since everything changes in the online world. Facebook is already a fantastic medium of business promotion and marketing. The main factor that got my attention were the people behind the site; people who conceptualized these webinars and are the creators of “Build a Brand Online” which is another successful coaching program for many entrepreneurs like myself.
The Team Behind Facebook Groups for Business.
The “Babo Crewz” were able to figure out how “Facebook Groups” can give any business a facelift. Their success stories were inspiring and it gave me the push I needed. Their page has given me great information on driving traffic to my site and, they have featured screenshots of some of the features found on Facebook Groups. Reading the posts on the site just gave me something to look forward to. Financially strapped, I had to get this program. It was risk I was proud to take. The coaching program covers many areas of social media and online marketing strategies; from building a list; to converting interaction; to building a business relationship that will turn into a prospect or a referral to your business. I can increase my personal brand awareness and exclusive access to students-only groups and much more. This is an investment in facebook groups that all entrepreneurs should take.

RT @yusufchowdhury Why Protecting Your Business is Vital. http://bit.ly/f7JCWC
Why Protecting Your Business is Vital.
By Yusuf Chowdhury & Saber A. Muslim.
You are an offline or an online business owner; your website or blog generates business for your physical location on Main Street. As one of 26 Million Americans, you are the core of this nation’s workforce. Businesses such as yours employ just under 100% of all of the employers in the U.S.
For several years now you have struggled through the current economic depression; your doors are still open. You are passionate about your business; who you are; what you do; what you bring to your customers: Plumber, architect, painter, landscaper, owner of a boutique. Internet business consultant, social media strategist, multi-level network marketer, direct sale distributor, you are the expert in your field.
Business Insurance Coverage.
As you prepare for 2011 your thoughts focus on all of the various protections you have set up for yourself, your family and your home. As a working-class citizen, just what type of insurance coverage do you have. You review your current list:
Life, health, home-owners, and auto insurance; these are the main types of coverage most people have. If you rent an apartment, you may have renter’s insurance. As you sit in your living room and look around, you may also have warranties on your large kitchen and household appliances; your furniture; TV, camcorder, computer, game system, cell phone, and a few other electronic devices you may own. To watch a short video on warranties click here.
As a private business owner, you are concerned about your expenses, services or merchandise, income, and taxes. In these difficult economic times, where do you gain the necessary capital to continue to operate and be successful? Then there is the risk management of your goods and/or services; you want to guard against the risk of a contingent and uncertain loss.
You do it all, but there’s always more to do, always. It can be overwhelming, and it can distract you from the business of running your business. As a self-employed business owner, who handles the legal aspect of your business? If it’s you, do you know how? Do you know what’s available to you? Do you know what questions to ask?
Customer Business disputes.
As a customer, who do you call when your new washing machine quits and the manufacturer refuses to cooperate?
What do you do when your jeweler sells you defective merchandise and the owner refuses a refund. What do you do if you slip on a wet floor in the store, are injured but the owner refuses liability? Some of us may call on a relative or a friend who happens to be an attorney. That may work well, for that particular attorney’s expertise.
In doing business and providing goods and services, for any breach of contract or violations you may encounter, coverage is necessary because it provides legal protection against lawsuits, and gives you access to legal services for your own questions at minimum cost.
If you give a speech or a webinar online and accept customers for your business, other than a “money-back guarantee” for services rendered, what other protections do you have in the event you encounter a dissatisfied customer? These are questions your attorney relative/friend may not be able to answer.
Business Contracts, Trademarks, Copyrights.
The majority of your business transactions involve contracts. If you are an owner of a small restaurant you have to negotiate through many contracts; from renting the space; liability insurance, merchandise, phone service, city ordinances, state licenses and laws, physical business security; this lists goes on. If you were an online business owner you are negotiating contracts also. Domain name registration and legal issues with domain names; web hosting agreements; affiliate contracts; privacy agreements; service protection; copyrights and copyright infringements; trademarks and trade names; consumer rights protection; this list will go on and on. As business owners we constantly need quick access to legal advice and a law firm that can provide quick legal advice.
You may already have retained a tax attorney, a CPA, business investors or partners, and advertisers; all of which can be destroyed with a lawsuit. What if your insurance company is doing you an injustice, where would you go? What if your business partners are stealing from you, who would you contact?
When obtaining insurance for yourself and your family (click here), your home and your possessions, preventive legal protection for your business can provide you consultations on an unlimited number of business questions, topics, and situations (click here). A law firm can provide you with attorneys that are specialists in your particular industry. As a private business owner a law firm can help your business gain a competitive edge for that larger contract that you feel you are qualified for, but may not know how to obtain.

Reasons Why an Online Business Needs a Personal Domain Name!
Advantages of Having Your Own Domain.
In your own online business its crucial to be as unique as you can, this gives you much more chance of being taken seriously. The advantages of having your own domain easily outweigh not doing so. One of the first advantages will be developing trust online which is a major obstacle for people in this area. With a domain people can learn that it's safe to buy from you. When you choose your own domain name you will start to separate yourself from other sites out there on the market and you will provide a sense of trust to people who are buying from you.
Professionalism With Your Own Domain.
This gives you a sense of professionalism with your customers, all by having your own domain name. In the same way as you would establish your credibility with a well run clean and tidy store, a unique domain name offers you the same credibility. The fact that you have your own domain makes you a serious player in the eyes of the public.
Advertising revenue With Your Own Domain.
If you can manage to foster the trust, respect, and sense of achievement with your customers you will also attract another group of people that are very important to you, namely your advertisers. When advertisers realize that people are visiting your site the advertising revenue will follow.
A Domain Name That Is Easy & Convenient To Remember.
Providing your customers with a domain name that is easy and convenient to remember is another definite advantage to having a domain name. A case in point would be the example of amazon.Your website will be crawled by the search engine spiders regularly and you will get traffic to your site.
Your Own Domain Name is portable.
Another advantage to having your own domain name is that it's portable and you can move it between different hosting accounts. If you have put in time developing your brand you can then move the domain with you to another hosting account and your customers will more than likely not know and you can continue on like before. no one can take that domain away from if you continue to pay the annual fee. Most Domain Name Companies Very Easy To Deal With.
You will find most domain companies very easy to deal with, my own personal favourite is Go Daddy, I find their interface extremely easy to work with, also they have got back to me about any problems within a very short space of time. You can provide value to your domain over the years by adding links, that will make it valuable in years to come eg: you can sell the domain. A domain name provider should also make it easy to point your name servers to another web company if you decide to host your URL elsewhere, this is a simple task of just copying the address of the hosting site (eg: ns1697.hostgator.com) Remember, there will be 2 name servers not just one, this acts as a back up in case things go wrong which they rarely do.
Also remember domain names are commodities that renew every 1/2/3 years and you will have to rent these again for whatever length of time you choose, the good news is that once the domain is yours, no one can take it away unless you let it lapse and do not renew, your renting company will let you know about this and remind you.

How I use Networking and Social Media to grow my business.
If you have ever read any of my articles you know I focus on two things to grow a business, Networking and Social Media. When I first started going to networking events I noticed one thing, most people you meet are busy people. While I followed techniques from the experts, I found it hard to schedule meetings and even have conversations with people who really don’t know, like and trust you.
Facebook Solved My Frustration with Networking Events.
You see people make time for people they have relationships with already; anybody who has ever sold something knows this is true! So I was getting frustrated with networking events to say the least. Enter Facebook.
Successful Networking with Facebook.
The entire time I was going to networking events I was also growing my Facebook skills. I was learning how to use all the functions, what people responded to and what people didn’t respond to. After one networking event I went home and began to look up the people on Facebook. Honestly I was being nosey, thinking “let me see what these people are all about?” I ended up requesting 3 people from the event as my friends and they accepted.
Building Business Relationship via Facebook Engagement.
Over the course of the month instead of sending notes through the mail, making phone calls or setting up meetings, I was developing the relationship through Facebook. Most people post things about their day, their business or share content they like. I simply engaged them by “liking” their post, responding to their questions and comments and sometimes talking to them in the IM chat on Facebook…never leaving my home and sometimes from my phone!
After you do this for three weeks something magical happens…they seem to be less busy with their schedule. Now every time I have asked for a meeting I was getting at least one hour, not 15 minutes of coffee! In fact I have received two messages this week in my Facebook account asking to meet for networking or a product presentation.
My Facebook Referral Funnel.
So I now have a referral funnel in development by simply shaking hands and engaging them on Facebook, here is my process:
Find the networking event and set a goal of the number of prospects to meet, my goal is usually 3 people a week, 4 events a month is 12 new referral/prospects a month.
Go to the event, I don’t carry cards, I simply take flyers for my events or a recent blog about networking from my website. When I take there card I say “I’ll send them my eCard,” an email with my info. This will ensure you have the name and email address to search by on Facebook.
That day I go research them on Facebook and add them as my friend, I have only had only one prospect not have a Facebook page in the last two and half months.
I than engage them over a three week period.
Week four I ask them for a meeting, if they haven’t already asked me.
This is the most non-confrontational way I have ever found to set-up a meeting. It takes a few weeks, but if you added this strategy to your current process, how many more direct sales or referrals could you add with very little time invested because of Facebook?
